Job description

We are seeking an experienced New Business Development Manager to join our growing luxury fashion brand. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth in international markets, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our global presence for the new business alongside our core fabric business. You also contribute to the merchandising strategy. In this position you directly report to the CEO.

In this role, hybrid working is an option.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and assess new international premium/luxury market opportunities; conduct market research and competitive analysis;

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to different regions to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue through sell-out strategies with key partners;

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retailers; provide exceptional customer service and support;

  • Work closely with the creative director to make a range plan which serves brand & market needs;

  • Mentor and guide the international sales agents to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives;

  • Set up back office, customer service etc.;

  • Monitor sales performance and market trends;

  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management;

  • Frequent travel to meet clients and attend trade shows and fashion events;

  • Manage stock levels and make informed buying decisions based on sales forecasts and market trends; ensure timely replenishment of best-selling items.

Job requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field;

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in international sales, in the fashion industry. Preferable in Premium/ luxury segment;

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding market presence;

  • Forward-thinking attitude, result oriented, people and customer focused;

  • Knowledge of the U.S. market is a plus;

  • Leadership skills;

  • Brand builder, creative and imaginative;

  • Existing network in the premium/luxury segment;

  • Strong understanding of global fashion trends and consumer behavior;

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;

  • Proficiency in English (Dutch and French are a plus);

  • Willingness to travel internationally.
