ABOUT THE JOB AND ABOUT THE TEAM:

As the first point of contact for a portfolio of wholesale accounts, you are responsible for managing Vlisco's B2B e-commerce platform. You drive annual performance by executing account plans and strategically balancing channels and assortments. Your focus is on delivering exceptional customer satisfaction through seamless execution and optimization of key processes, including assortment planning, product development, ordering, sales planning, and marketing. In this role you will report to the Senior Sales Manager.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Account Management

  • Primarily point of contact for a (growing) group of customers;
  • Develop, align, and implement annual key account plans to drive mutual success;
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Vlisco, representing values to customers and stakeholders;
  • Build and maintain professional relationship with accounts and take ownership of their questions and concerns;
  • Guide customers in ordering processes and product development initiatives;
  • Achieve annual targets while meeting strategic and customer management goals;
  • Support key accounts with the planning & execution of trade marketing programs and tools;
  • Support and contribute to marketing, product, and creative activities tailored to your client portfolio;
  • Evaluate sales and customer data in an analytical way to build a better understanding of customers drivers and sales performance.

Advise

  • Providing input for the B2B assortment buying plan, including merchandise planning and stock management;
  • Advising the Senior Sales Manager on customer value propositions, Key Account Management (KAM), and other initiatives to enhance the Sales department's performance.

Process management

  • Ensuring processes align with SLA requirements, including ordering, payments, invoicing, goods delivery, and visit planning;
  • Planning and conducting visits of key accounts to evaluate customer service quality;
  • Collaborating with departments like Logistics, Finance, and Warehousing to streamline operations.

Backoffice support

  • Reviewing and correcting purchase orders based on availability and sharing updates with customers;
  • Addressing and resolving distributor complaints efficiently and promptly.

Job requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor degree;
  • Knowledge of KPIs, dashboards and reports;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales / Account Management;
  • You are fluent in English, Proficiency in French and Dutch is an advantage;
  • Forward-thinking attitude, result oriented, people and customer focused;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the African context is a plus.
