Senior Accountant General Ledger

ABOUT THE JOB AND ABOUT THE TEAM:
In this role, within the Vlisco accounting team, you will execute and monitor the general ledger processes, in time, efficient, accurate and complete.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Executing and monitoring of general ledger processing, period closing and reporting
- Reconcile the Dutch sub ledgers with general ledger and solve differences
- Making manual journal entries, maintaining financial master data, period end closing and fulfilling the execution of fiscal obligations
- Monitor reconciliation process
- Prepare accruals
- Prepare and analyse Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement in JD Edwards and Cognos
- Support the business controllers with reports and analysis
Executing and monitoring the processes with regards to the stock movement for raw materials, work in progress and finished products
- Execute and monitor the review and approval of all stock related journal entries
- Perform periodically several controls to ensure compliance with internal rules and guidelines related to stock processes and procedures. Communicate and solve issues together with the business
- Organize and monitor the physical stocktaking and communicate the results to the business and management in close relation with M&L
- Perform stock (re)valuation and make a calculation for the stock provisions
- Drawing up integrated reports including conclusions and recommendations
- Describe and update process descriptions concerning stocks and the goods movement
Other
- Perform various declarations including VAT and CBS
- Be key user of JD Edwards for GL in close cooperation with your colleagues participate in projects
- Support Manager Accounting with describing and updating process descriptions concerning accounting
- Authorise payments
- Ensure follow-up with business on accounting GL & administrative stock issues
- Enhance correct application of rules by the business
Job requirements
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor degree or similar working and thinking level
- Professional education int the field of Business Economics and a certificate in accounting
- 3-5 years relevant work experience and manufacturing experience is mandatory
- Knowledge of IFRS regulations
- Good knowledge of ERP, preferably JD Edwards
- Proficient level of Dutch and English
- Analytical skills
- PC literate: advanced Excel and Qlikview
- Good understanding of reporting in Cognos
- Accurate and proactive attitude
