Vlisco&co is a network of young creative talent across Africa. It was set up by Vlisco in 2017 to learn about the aspirations of young Africans, to understand the way they see printed textiles in their own contemporary culture and to provide knowledge and opportunity where possible. Currently Vlisco&co is a start-up business focused on printed textiles and fashion, in collaboration with young creative talents across Africa.

Job description

As a Project Manager you are in charge of different Vlisco&co projects. You will actively contribute to the development of the brand, run projects worldwide and lead teams with amazing people of different backgrounds. You will do this in such a way that they correspond to the vision of Vlisco&co.

What are the key tasks?

  • Managing a portfolio of projects from concept design to execution.
  • Plan the project activities, time, costs, quality and take over the project controlling and project documentation.
  • Interfacing and coordinating with our partners.
  • Coordinate regular project meetings with your stakeholders and secure information flow to all project members.
  • Projects will vary from pop-up shop concepts, digital marketing to product development

Job requirements

  • Able to adapt to and understand West African culture.
  • Ambitious with the ability to grow within this role.
  • Excellent communication skills.

What is your background?

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant domain.
  • At least three years of experience in a project management related function
  • Thrives in a highly collaborative, open, fast-paced and flexible work environment, easily changing direction with shifting priorities
  • Experience in the field of fashion and/or international business
  • Experience in a start-up company is a pré.
  • Fluent in English, it is an advantage if you have knowledge of the French and Dutch language
