Freelance Copywriter (16 hrs./0,4 FTE)

Description

Do you love fashion, are you a rock star in social media and is English your mother tongue? Then you may just be the person we are looking for. As the Copywriter, you are responsible for providing copy and creative insight for social media and online marketing. Working independently and in collaboration with other writers, designers, social media strategists, and art directors, the Copywriter helps develop creative ideas for projects and helps define the continued evolution of the Vlisco brand.

Key responsiblities:

  • Tell compelling product stories through copy, for use by our sales teams, Vlisco.com, newsletters, press releases, brochures, print media and tag lines with a Vlisco tone of voice;
  • Conceptualize, create and proofread social media copy (paid and organic) for Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and that clearly communicates Vlisco’s marketing message;
  • Write informative, brand-right descriptions for designs, outfits and our product catalog (look book);
  • Continually adhere to Vlisco brand standards and copy guidelines;
  • Foster and leverage relationships in product, merchandising and marketing to gather information about seasonal styles and check facts against multiple sources to ensure accuracy;
  • Actively gain knowledge of Vlisco’s products and processes, trends, the consumer and overall marketplace culture;
  • Develop deep knowledge of Vlisco’s copy philosophy, product composition, features, and benefits;
  • Collaborate with brand, digital production, and geography teams to ensure all objectives and timelines are met.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Marketing or other related field is highly desired;
  • A minimum of 4 years professional writing experience or editorial experience preferably focused on fashion;
  • Native fluency in English ideally French as an additional working language;
  • Excellent grammar and spelling proficiency;
  • Excellent at communication, networking and team working;
  • Organization and planning skills;
  • Attention to detail, creative, with an eye for design;
  • Adaptable and proactive;
  • An enthusiastic can-do attitude and a drive to succeed. 

What we offer:

We offer a challenging assignment where you will get the opportunity to grow and to deliver a meaningful contribution to our Marketing Department. For this position (16 hrs.) it is necessary to be at our HQ in Helmond on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
